A warmly-decorated, spacious and tranquil attic room with a double bed. No cleaning fee added! Furnishings are simple, with a pine chest of drawers, copper clothes rail, a trunk, sofa and an antique table and chairs. There is an attractive cast iron ornamental fireplace with lights and candles for a cosy and romantic feel. Wooden beams and floorboards, and two velux windows, with view to woodland at the front and green hills at the back. The sound of the river at the back can be heard in the night if you leave the velux open.
There is a small private anteroom to your space where you'll find wine glasses, crockery and cutlery. There's a kettle and toaster, tea and coffee, and the milk of your choice in a mini-fridge.
The bathroom is on the floor below your room, and is shared with your host.
Out of doors, there is a south-facing rear patio overlooking the river Calder running directly below the river wall. There's a table and chairs where you can sit and watch the many birds on the river, drink your coffee, and eat in good weather.
Situated between the Rochdale canal just 100m away, and the River Calder, just a few metres away, this is a pleasant spot on Burnley Road A646, where you are within very easy reach of dog walks, cycle routes and canal trips! We are just 5 minutes' walk from Mytholmroyd train station and 15 minutes' walk from Hebden Bridge train station, both on the main line between Manchester and Leeds. The famous town of Hebden Bridge is a half hour's pleasant walk along the canal, or a two-minute drive.
